Project Description

The Site is found just off Glen Road across from the protected Glencairn Vlei. The Glencairn Hotel which was built in 1904 and designed by Architect John Parker currently occupies the Erf and will remain on site in its current form. The concept allows for the addition of 10 new hotel rooms, 20 new luxury apartments and 315m2 of retail space along Glencairn Road. The design intends to respect its historic context by not mimicking the surrounding buildings but to rather incorporate the tectonic and materiality of the area in its composition. The development will boast beautiful views over False Bay while providing a boost in tourist economy for the area.
